A Confederacy of Dances is next weekend in New Orleans and is a mixed media showcase of choreography and experimental music. Its one of my old projects and I would love to be able to attend if anyone else is interested or just going to New Orleans that weekend, let me know. Gabe and Potpie also produce NOISE, New Orleans Innovative Sound Experiment, so there will be some of that if you like. Electrical Spectical is very entertaining theramin funk and Scott Heron is undescribable. You should check out his website http://www.scottheron.org/.

Here’s two things you might be interested in – The musician’s village recently expanded its concept to include a theatre space and courtyard among its residential plans – it’s ongoing since some houses have actually been completed. I don’t know who is the lead architect but you could find out. Habitat for Humanity plus Harry Connick, Jr. and Branford Marsalis – what could be better than that?
Answer: Brad Pitt and Global Green! This project just announced more or less final plans, but I’m sure they are still working out the details. Lead architect is local – the winning design firm is in NYC.
